I’ve tried a few smart bands/watches over the years, I’m not one to spend hundreds of dollars to pay for a logo, so I focus more on specs and functionality that on brands.
My current watch is a TicWatch 3 https://amzn.to/3ONih2o a brand that is virtually unknown but that has nothing to envy to Samsung, Apple and Huawei.
I paired it to my Xiaomi Poco phone https://amzn.to/3OOmjYj seamlessly and connected it to Google Fit as well.
The watch face can be changed and there are over 20 free options that come with it, very customizable too, you can change the color, data it shows, etc. and there’s always the option of buying others from the settings app as well.
While the native functions and apps, steps counter, sleep tracker, Pulse/O2 monitor, etc work great. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many other apps are supported as well, NFC payments with Google wallet, Whatsapp (not just notifications, sending voice and text messages too), Google Home, Gmail, Spotify, even Google maps, all work fine on the watch. Many more apps for Wear OS available on the Google Play store. You can even install a mini browser if you want.
Depending on use and how many active monitors you have going, battery can last 3-4 days at least.
While it is marketed for men, it fits perfectly fine on my womanly wrist, does not feel heavy or bulky, i personally don’t like the rubber straps on my skin, but switching them to a generic metallic or leather strap is very easy.
